Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about how Cheers Travel Co. plans trips, what to expect, and how to get started.
Why work with a travel advisor?
Some people truly love researching and planning their own trips—and if that’s you, there’s no reason to give up the fun! I’m here for travelers who don’t have time, don’t enjoy it, get overwhelmed by the details, or simply want expert guidance along the way.
I like to make my own travel plans. Can I just work with you for extra perks at my hotels?
Yes! If you enjoy planning your own trips but want access to VIP perks and amenities at no additional cost, I can help through my preferred hotel partners. Visit the VIP Me page to see what extras may be available when you book your stay through Cheers Travel Co.
Do you only work with clients in Dallas and Austin?
Not at all. I work with clients across the country, and everything can be handled virtually. No matter where you live, you’ll receive the same personal attention and service.
Can you help me finish planning a trip I’ve already started?
Absolutely! You don’t have to start from scratch with me. Whether you need help choosing the right hotel, organizing your itinerary, or deciding what to do once you’re there, I’m happy to step in and fill in the gaps. Many clients come to me for exactly this reason.
How do I access my travel plans while I'm on my trip?
There’s an app for that! I organize your itinerary in an easy-to-use travel app, so your accommodations, daily plans, tour vouchers, train and ferry tickets, and other important details are all in one place. No digging through emails or carrying around stacks of paper required.
Can you help me decide where to go?
Yes—and it’s one of my favorite parts of what I do. I’ll help you narrow down the possibilities based on your interests, travel style, budget, and timeframe, then find a destination that feels right for you.
Do you only book luxury travel?
I specialize in thoughtfully planned travel with a high level of service, which often includes four- and five-star hotels, private experiences, and special amenities. That doesn’t mean every trip needs to be extravagant. I’m happy to work within a range of budgets while recommending places and experiences I feel confident putting my name behind.
How far in advance should I contact you?
The earlier, the better! Planning six months or more in advance is common and gives us the best selection of hotels and experiences. That said, sometimes adventure calls at the last minute—I once planned a trip to Portugal for clients who decided to leave the very next day! Whenever possible, though, a little extra lead time gives us more options to create something truly special.
